 Antonine Rooftop

He looked around the rooftop, of the abandoned hotel. He located the entrance to the roof, and quickly moved the large metallic crate in front of the door. He returned to filing through the items, removing a Glock seventeen, loaded a clip, and holstered it to his right thigh. Only rations, and ammo remained so he turned to his rifle. By now he quit with the radio, but it was left on just in case somebody happened to send a distress call. He reached up and turned his military cap around, so the bill was facing behind him. He picked up the rifle and flicked open the lens caps. He felt the scope, and then hit a small button turning on the scope's night vision.

He placed the rifle onto the ledge which was a few feet of the base of the roof. It was rather hard to see the streets below in the darkness. But by now his eyes adjusted as best as they could. He could pick out a few dead bodies, and the walking dead. He was briefed about the situation before he departed form the military base, but zombies? It was like a horror movie or something. He peered into the scope, sweeping the area over. Then he saw her, a woman. She was young maybe college aged, but age didn't matter at the time. What did was the creature holding onto her. He could hear the faint shrieks, and yells as she struggled with the zombie. She was swinging, and moving so he had to be careful not to shoot her instead. He followed the zombie in scope, keeping the cross hair on its head. Finally the woman broke free, put a very short distance between them, and when the zombie lunged he fired. When the twelve point seven millimeter meet the zombie's head, it seemed to explode in blood.

The woman was covered in the red substance, but she only ducked. She was cowering in fear, he looked away from the scope and shouted. "Hey! Get your ass to cover lady!" not a moment after he shouted those words, an other zombie snuck up on her from the alley. Hit tackled her to the ground, and then bit her on the neck. Pulling the skin off, and devouring her body. He watched through his scope, but was forced to turn away. He placed the rifle by his side, and leaned against the ledge. This shit was really happening, he had to take a moment to get himself together.

Jason had been wandering the halls of the hotel for quite a long time trying to find the door that would lead to the roof of the building. He had seen several of those creatures inside of the hotel, and several bloodstained rooms, which make him think how lucky he is that he was not harmed while staying at the hotel. He didn't even have blood on himself even after being around this for so long.

He grunted softly, not wanting to attract any attention, frustrated with the fact that he was unable to find the door that lead to the roof. Even a staircase would do for him that would lead him there, but nothing. He began to walk a bit faster thinking about how bad it could get if he didn't find the roof soon.

'Hmm, maybe it's back there.' Jason thought to himself as he looked at a door that had the words 'Emplyees Only' written in black on a golden plate on the wooden door. He turned the door knob surprised that it was unlocked, also thinking it as suspicious, but entered the area still; wanting to find that door to the roof.

He paced around slowly until he saw a plate on the wall, the lettering saying 'Roof' with an arrow beside it. He sighed with relief as he walked over towards the staircase. He stopped when he heard something behind it. It sounded as if it were something rustling around. Sitting there for a moment he tried to listen for it again, soon hearing it and realizing it was coming from inside of a closet. He saw light bloodstains beside the closet door and immediately decided not to see what was in it.

He headed up the stairs and practically burst through the door that lead up to the roof. He looked to his right, then to his left, immediately seeing a man, staring at him confused as he didn't seem like someone who had been staying at the hotel. Not wanting to startle him, after seeing the rifle, and be shot he kept quiet, but closed the door behind him, looking around the area at the smoking buildings and the faint sirens he could hear off in the far distance.

He was in a reverie when the door was being pushed on. He quickly turned his head, and grasped the Glock seventeen. He swiftly pulled it from the holster, and cocked it. He quickly rose to his feet, holding the pistol at the door with both hands. He waited silently until the door was thrown open.

Looking down the sight of the weapon, he readied himself to shoot. Seeing how it wasn't an enemy, he lowered the gun. "Stay right there!" he ordered. He had to check the male to make sure he was infected. He walked over to the man, and shut the door back to the hotel. He also repeated same precautionary measure by, placing the metal crate in front of the door once more.

Jason watched and put his hands up as he saw the gun pointed in his direction. He stared down the barrel, if only for a minute before he somewhat lowered his gun. With this Jason's hands went back to his sides casually and he placed the gun in the waistband of his blue jeans. He sighed as he looked over the edge of the building. He could see some dead bodies lying on the ground, he was unsure if they were really dead, or just about to get up.

His question was answered when he saw a man stand up from the ground and somewhat start looking around confused before he took off running in a different direction. He could still hear the sirens off in the distance as he turned back to the man that had been inhabiting the roof. Seeing as he looked somewhat military he decided to let him speak first.
